Designing your Sodyo Content

How to use the various themes and color palettes in order to create the look that is right for your content in an easy and effective wa

Design

The first step of creating any content is to select the Design. The first item that must be chosen is the Theme. Each content type has specific Themes from which to choose which change the look and feel of the content item. After the Theme has been chosen, the user can then select his/her colors. There are five pre-populated color palettes (with an option for an additional user created palette, see below) that users can choose from by selecting that color palette or the user can input each individual color that he wishes to use by selecting the color selection box. From the color selection box, the user can either click on the color that he desires or he can type in the Hex code or RGB color code, if known. Alternatively , the user can select the color using the color slider. In the Design area, the user must choose to upload a cover photo for the raffle, if he/she desires. Supported formats are .jpg, .png, and .gif. Alternatively, video can be uploaded as well.

Custom Color Choices

When working within the Content areas of the Sodyo solution, the user has the ability to choose his desired colors by making a selection from the color selection box. By default, there is a selection of pre-selected colors at the bottom of this box are as follows:

The Project Administrator can change the pre-selected colors at the Project level, meaning that once these colors are input they will be available to all the content available in this particular project. This can be done only by a Project Administrator as follows:

Select the Settings Menu:

Then Click on the Appearance Tab, which is set by default to look as follows:

Add colors using the following steps:

  1. Select “Use Local Colors Palette”

  2. Select “+ Add New Color”. Select the Gray patterned area. From the color picker, type in the Hex code or RGB color code, if known. Alternatively , the user can select the color using the color slider. Type in the name of the Color.

  3. Once the colors are input, select Save. Please note, once the save button has been selected, the refresh option will disappear from each color and only the save button will remain.

  4. A total of 24 colors can be pre-selected.

Pre-Populated Color Palettes

Within the template-based content types of the Sodyo solution, the user can choose the colors for his landing page. There are five pre-populated color palettes that users can choose from by selecting the color palette.

Alternatively, the user can input each individual color that he wishes to use by selecting the color selection box. From the color selection box, the user can either click on the color that he desires or he can type in the Hex code or RGB color code, if known. Alternatively, the user can select the color using the color slider. The color selection box can be pre-populated with Custom Colors, as outlined above.

Saving a Color Palette

If a user desires, from within a content type, after he has selected his customized color choices he can then save that as a sixth color palette. After having all of his colors arranged in the correct order, he simply selects the “Save Palette” button. This sixth color palette will then be available only to that same content type, for all users of that project. For example, if the user saves a color palette for a “Yes/No Poll”, that color palette will only be available for a “Yes/No Poll” within the same project - if he wants to use the same colors for any other content type, such as a “Multiple Choice Poll” or a “Coupon”, he would need to save the Color Palette in those content types as well.

Themes

When working within the Content items areas of the Sodyo solution, the user has the ability to choose the layout of the particular item by selecting a Theme. Each Content item comes with several themes to choose from.
