Creating Campaigns

Details on how to create campaigns in the Sodyo Content Management System (CMS)

A campaign is content that has been published and assigned a Sodyo tag. A campaign can be scanned by users to receive the content associated with the campaign.

Creating a Campaign

Step 1: Navigate to https://cms.sodyo.com and sign in. Click the campaign module in the navigation menu. The campaign module is displayed.

Initially, the campaigns grid is empty as no campaigns have been created as of yet.

Step 2: Click the add new campaign button at the top right of the screen. The campaign editor is displayed.

If you do not have a paid plan with Sodyo, when clicking the create new campaign button the following message will be displayed.

This message indicates that the user has reached the campaign limit and can either start a free 30 day trial or upgrade the current plan.

To start a trial, click the start trial period link in the message. Your trial period will be started and will be indicated with a yellow bar on top of the CMS window as shown below. The yellow bar will indicate how long before the trail period expires. Sodyo will also provide e-mail notifications to indicate expiry of the trial period.

Note that each user can only utilize one trial period.

Step 3: Click the add new campaign button at the top right of the screen. The campaign editor is displayed.

Step 4: Enter a name for the campaign.

Step 5: Select a campaign group. A campaign group is one or more campaigns that are grouped together for analytic purposes. It is possible to create a campaign group by clicking the add sign or using the default group.

Step 6: Select the content item for the campaign in the content configuration section.

Step 7: Fill in additional campaign information including:

  • Media Type

  • Location – mobile or stationary

  • Address if applicable

  • Notes

The Marker Dimension field is for internal use only.

Step 8: When done editing your campaign, click the save button to publish or cancel to discard and return to the main campaigns screen. If published, a Sodyo tag is assigned to the campaign.

Step 9: Click the Sodyo code in the row for your campaign in the campaigns grid to enlarge the Sodyo code assigned for your campaign or edit the campaign to see the code with the campaign.

Step 10: Scan the assigned Sodyo tag with a Sodyo enabled application. Scanning a tag will deliver the campaign’s content to the user.
