Creating a Gallery

The Content Gallery Module allows the user to scan and obtain a variety of images, .gifs, audio files, and/or video files.

The following will outline at a high level the steps for creating a gallery. The following assumes the reader is familiar with the CMS system and the steps required to create a content item and campaigns.

The steps of designing a Gallery are outlined in Designing your Sodyo Content.

Text

In the Text section, the user must add a Title for the gallery. Space for an optional sub-title and additional information is provided, if needed.

Content

Add the first content type as outlined below. To add another content item, select “+Add new answer” and then add the additional content item. You may add additional content items as needed, up to 30 items maximum. The items will be displayed in the order they are added. An item may not be left blank once it has been selected - if too many have been added, you must either fill it in or select the “x” next to the field to delete the response in order to save the Gallery.

For each type of Content added, the upload process is slightly different, as outlined below:

  • Image -

    • Type in the name of your content in the “Content X” field - note that this is required even if the content items are desired to be displayed without the text (image only), the Name of each content item must still be input in order for the Gallery to be saved.

    • Under File, select Add Media File. Crop the image to your needs, and select the Crop button.

    • If you need to change the image, use the blue Refresh button to upload a new image, video, or audio file. You cannot delete a media file - you must use the delete Answer “x” button to the right side to delete the entire content item.

  • Video and/or Audio Files -

    • Type in the name of your content in the “Content X” field - note that this is required even if the content items are desired to be displayed without the text (image only), the Name of each content item must still be input in order for the Gallery to be saved.

    • Under File, select Add Media File. Select the audio or video file and the file will begin to upload.

    • When the file has finished uploading, another input box called “Cover” appears. This is where you can upload an image file to use as the thumbnail photo for the audio/video file. If you do not upload this thumbnail, there will be no thumbnail artwork for these files.

    • If you need to change the video/audio file or thumbnail image, use the blue Refresh button to upload a new image, video, or audio file. You cannot delete a media file - you must use the delete Answer “x” button to the right side to delete the entire content item.
